About Monks

Our Mission

Great Wine, Right Here

Monks believes everyone should enjoy great wine. We offer our customers a chance to take a global wine adventure without having to get on a plane.

Our staff is knowledgeable and passionate and will be delighted to help you explore regions and their varietals. Monks wine list is constructed so that a wide range of palettes and wallets can find wines to enjoy.

The menu takes traditional dishes and gives them a twist. This allows each dish to pair well with a broader selection of our wines. We make an effort to use seasonal and local produce as well as fish and meats. The cuisine explodes with flavor in every dish.

Our patio is great for couples or larger groups, for private events and wine dinners. If you are interested in hosting an event, notify your server who can provide you with more information.

Chef Koy serves it up hot

Our kitchen is proud to offer tasty entrees, appetizers and tapas prepared fresh and with the best quality organic ingredients. We grow much of our produce in our own garden at home, and are happy to be able to share it with our customers.

Throughout the week we feature specials, such as Mafioso Mondays (all you can eat spaghetti with real meatballs) and Tapas Tuesday. Our menu changes seasonally with the ingredients, giving you a good reason to come back often.

Wine

We really like wine...

300 bottles to try

The first rule to enjoying wine is to keep it simple: just enjoy it. With over 300 bottles and many varietals in stock, you'll find something to enhance your evening.

For those just beginning to jump into the world of wine, don't be intimidated. You don't have to know anything about wine to enjoy it. Frankly, sometimes it's better that way. Our happiest customers are often the ones who order "something you'd recommend."

For those looking to develop their palettes, we only carry wines by small boutique wineries, which means you'll try something here that won't find at a grocery store.

...and Beer too.

We carry a variety of beers on tap, with many more by the bottle.

Specializing in Belgiums, we carry many brands you're unlikely to find anywhere else locally, making Monks a must try for beer enthusiasts.

New: In Home Wine Tasting

We are aware of people's busy schedule and have developed a program that can enable a group of friends or family a chance to experience world class wine tasting in the comfort of home.

There are many options for the host, but we are always willing to customize a party to your preferences and budget.

Wine Tasting Class

If you are a novice or seasoned vet this class is meant to teach and remind people of the intracacies of wine tasting and the attributes of various wines.

Our sommeleier will put you at ease and allow you to ask all of the questions that you have been too shy to ask.

Vine Traveling

This is meant for the more adventerous. Your personal guide will take you through your favorite wine regions explaining the climate and varietals in detail. We can pair the wine with local cuisine to create a true travel experience.

Bourdoux vs. Rhone

Compare the old world favorites and see which you prefer. It's also a great way to learn about the region's varietals and peculiarities.

Napa vs. Mendoza

How do new world regions stack up to each other?
